I just don't see the benefit of that, cooking or frying a non-frozen sausage takes less time than defrosting and reheating a frozen cooked one, and defrosting and cooking a regular frozen one takes zero effort because you're reheating it anyway. What is the thought process? I really don't get it.

Well in my case I don't need to defrost them, eating them cold is fine, in bread with sauce.

I don't like cooking meat when the housemate is about because he doesn't eat meat. So it's a timeshift cooking thing.
