Wow, I've been sick all week. I did not have enough energy to make food but that didn't stop me from fantasising about making food. What kinds of things do you like to eat when you are sick? It can be because it makes you feel better or because it cures influenza, or any other reason.

matzo ball soup, oatmeal, chocolate pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc.

the main ingredient though is the Concerned Mom, which you are probably missing. it's not worth it if you have to make the food yourself.

Author I have been told that you should never have chocolate while you are sick because it will make you feel worse. Is it possible that your mother is trying to poison you? Furthermore, I have been told that it is bad to have cold beverages and warm beverages which contain milk. Is this true? Why? I am sorry if these questions seem basic, I don't have a lot of experience with being sick (super good immune system & never go outside).

i've never felt exceptionally better or exceptionally worse from anything i've eaten while sick. but chocolate tastes really good so who gives a fuck either way. i can imagine you shouldn't have cold stuff because you need to keep your core warm while you are sick, and i can imagine you shouldn't have dairy because it might worsen your congestion, but once again, i'm coming from the purely tastebud standpoint.

That obviously didn't cure Mr Fieri, he's still so sick he tried to put two different shirts on and two separate beards with disastrous results.

Just a thimble full of brandy will make you well.
