I have one, and have never, ever used it. Don't buy one until you think "gee, I really can't cook this dish without a pressure cooker"

the pressure cooker will help to cook some things faster, as opposed to a slow cooker which cooks things slowly over a long period of time.

you don't need a pressure cooker though, just cook the food, no need to bring a potential grenade into the equation

Do you cook a lot of dry beans? If you do, a pressure cooker is very useful as it drastically reduces cooking time, you don't even need to soak the beans. It's also good for rapidly cooking things that usually have a long cooking time (stews and the like). But if you have enough time in your life to slow cook things and pre-soak your beans, you probably don't need one.

I like cooking to be relaxing so I'd suggest a no-pressure cooker.

Don't buy a pressure cooker online. My mom did that and the cops showed up a day later, because evidently she's a terrorist.

i thought maybe there could be alternate uses for this pressure cooker so i googled "pressure cooker clothes" and i found this bit of wisdom:

Quote
Use the cooker as the everything pot for washing clothes, dishes and even the baby.

So there you go, you can wash the baby in a pressure cooker. I say buy it
