DOG SPOTTING!!!

From HERE.

WHAT IS DOGSPOTTING?

Dogspotting is the act of assigning point values to the dogs you see in your daily travels.

Dogspotting is all about spontaneity and seeing new dogs. True dogspotters never count dogs they already know, or engineer spots by visiting places like dog parks and veterinary clinics where dogs are expected. Good dogspotters embrace the unexpected, allowing each spot to be a surprising gift... or terrible curse.

With Orthodox Rules, dogspotting becomes even more fun and challenging. In addition to points for size, special spots may be eligible for bonus points, multipliers and penalties.

===========================================================================

Please check the link I posted above for the rules and scoring guidelines of Dogspotting. This thread is where Dogspotters post photos of dogs they have spotted, after which the community will give points. Anybody can post pictures of dogs they have spotted, and anybody can give points in accordance with the guidelines.

MAJOR RULE REVISION 1:

Small dogs will now be worth +1 point

I saw a few today. not high scorers i'm afraid though.

Two mutts chasing a small child in the park, one small, one medium. action dog on the medium.

( 1+2 -2 ) *2 = 2

Twice i saw staffies going for evening walks. small but solid -> medium, scoring 1 each

i met a german shepherd yesterday and his name was caine.

size: 2. he was actually only 1 year old so he will only get bigger. he was a lean, muscular bad boy.

contorting: yes. this guy squeezed into the back of a sedan with me and his owner. he was a trooper the whole way. 1 point.

curious eater: the dog drank a beer which was cool as hell. 2 points.

intimate acts: the dog tried to shit on my friend's carpet. -2

total score for caine: 3

i met a 10 week-old pug puppy named ELSIE. she belonged to a woman who works at the liquor store i go to. the lady had the dog sleeping in a doggie bed behind the counter.

size: 1. she was soooooo tiny but so adorable oh my god i just wanted to bite her little head off

no bonus or negative points. mostly the dog was just tiny and cute, like omg for real everybody she was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. but there are no bonus points for cuteness. so elsie the baby pug gets a total of: 1

Saw a king charles spaniel going for a walk. wee feller, -2

Saw a solid old bull terrier taking the light rail. medium dawg, 1 point

By the way, bond, pugs are small dogs and score -2 points i'm afraid.

I saw an old lady walking five dogs the other day. Three golden retrievers, and two white medium-sized ones that I couldn't place from that distance (I was in a car). I think that comes to (1+1+2+2+2) x 5 = 40 points?
