Artificial jellyfish made from rat heart

Quote
In 2007, Parker was searching for new ways of studying muscular pumps when he visited the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts. “I saw the jellyfish display and it hit me like a thunderbolt,” he says. “I thought: I know I can build that.” To do so, he recruited John Dabiri, a bioengineer who studies biological propulsion at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena. “I grabbed him and said, ‘John, I think I can build a jellyfish.’ He didn’t know who I was, but I was pretty excited and waving my arms, and I think he was afraid to say no.”

Yeah, the picture is from that, there was also a similar thing for Mercury since a picture was being taken the same day in an ongoing search to try to find small moons around Venus, Earth, and Mars.

Any idea what the bright hazy line is running across the Saturn picture below Earth is?

My guess is that the Sun is just out of frame to the left and it's some kind of lens flare, but could it also be illuminating dust and shit in the plane of the ecliptic?

That's the E ring, cryovolcanic ring.

The next one in, above earth in the very faint sharp ring, that is the G ring. The next one in, the bright white/blue sharp line is the F ring, then the A ring is the next one up. Rings were named in the order they were first identified.

Another from saturn:

Dawww, Earth has a little buddy.

Mars

click for full size, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter took an orbital picture of Curiosity Rover, you can see the landing spot and the tracks.
