Silver Linings Playbook, with my wife.  Thought it was pretty good.  Relatively unconventional at first but it veers back into predictable territory about midway through the second hour.  Still manages to be funny and never really takes itself too seriously.

Pan's Labyrinth! I thought it lived up to a lot of the hype surrounding it.

A person who has oranges only wants one thing... to survive. I know that a lot of you "who think you're too cool" probably won't re-post this. But a very little amount of my friends will. Put this in your signature in honor of someone who died of orange, survived or is fighting against it now. ♥

I'm stuck in bed sick so I decided to finally get around to watching Black Mirror. WHY DID I WAIT THIS LONG?!

Argo! It was pretty awesome. I like Affleck now that he is a director.

A one man stage show called 'Bane' that was like a noir cross between Lethal Weapon and The Naked Gun. It was incredible and there's two more nights of it.

okay earlier i watched end of watch. aside from the "rah rah police are great" bullshit, i enjoyed it. the leads had good chemistry, and the whole film was compellingly grim.

tonight i watched sinister, the horror flick starring ethan hawke. the first half is moody and atmospheric, then it falls apart in the second half.

Karen and I tried watching The Lorax, but it was so boring that we turned it off about 10 minutes in.

i just watched the found footage horror anthology movie v/h/s. it's about these dudes who break into a house and find all these videotapes that are basically short horror films. it's fairly uneven and only scary in spots. my favorite of the shorts was the last one, about four guys who go to a halloween party in LA. it seemingly has no set of rules and slowly shifts gears into wall-to-wall insanity.

the sequel just premiered at sundance and i've read that it's way better

The season premiere of Mr and Mrs Murder. It's good, but I can't shake the feeling that they've used up all the good ideas for the first episode and the rest of the season will just be more of the same. I hope I'm wrong.

Brick. It was really good! I wasn't paying enough attention at the beginning which meant some of the end didn't make sense so I went back and watched the first 10 minutes again. This had a very tight script and I loved it.

Sympathy for Lady Vengance, and two Chan-Wook Park shorts: Night Fishing, Judgement. He's so amazing.

I watched Chernobyl Diaries because someone recommended it highly enough to lend me the Blu-ray. I will not trust this person's movie opinions anymore. Please do not make the same mistake I did, because this movie is not even amusing-bad, it's just bad.

You sure it wasn't a video game? It sounds like a video game. And therefore, not art.
