You guys, it is so nice outside right now.  72 degrees Fahrenheit and not a cloud in the sky.  Right now I'm listening to The Strokes' Room On Fire and The Raconteurs last album on repeat, because there's something great about noisy guitars in the sunshine.  What's your favorite summertime song?  What do you like to blare out of your car stereo when you're driving to the beach with all the windows rolled down?  What do you listen to when picnicking in the park and covertly sneaking booze out of a soda bottle?

I've found myself dusting off my Passion Pit album lately.  Their music makes me not only want to dance, but also jump over bonfires and perform other dangerous drunken summer feats.

Yeah, I'm probably going to post in this thread a lot.  Hooray summer / nice weather / end of Seasonal Affective Disorder !!!

I have an intense summer connection with Sixpence None the Richer, but lately I have been into Caro Emerald. It's "taking a drive on a nice sunny day with the windows down" music. Especially "Riviera Life"

Also Bearbot, which is more "barbeque with your buddies on a hot day" music.

The Ballad of Hugo Chavez - Arkells

Blueprint - Arkells

I might as well just list their whole CD, great tunes for summer.

This is a good song when you're driving with your friends (or cats, those are good too) and all the windows are down and the sun just went down and you sing along to this song.

Silversun Pickups- Well Thought Out Twinkles
Death From Above 1979- Black History Month
The White Stripes- Seven Nation Army
This last one is kind of an acquired taste, but if you like Jane's Addiction you should like The Blood Brothers- Spit Shine Your Black Clouds

In case you didn't notice, summer time always makes me think of groovy bass lines.

Some of my favorite summer tunes are kind of the rock/reggae type stuff. Similar to Sublime.

Some of my favorite bands/songs;
Closer to the Sun - Slightly Stoopid
Wiseman - Slightly Stoopid
Pepper - Too Much
The Expendables - Down Down Down

Also, Jack Johnson is great.
Jack Johnson - Taylor
Jack Johnson - Badfish/Boss DJ

Can't really have summer time music without this. Which is particularly poignant, considering it was 8 degrees where I am this morning.
