I assumed the Steelers would have to be the most hilariously incongruous pairing of results, given they shit-stomped one of the league's best and also lost to two different two-loss teams, but Detroit's is also impressive, especially with it being consecutive weeks.

So, Free Agency starts today. Let's look at some big offseason moves, shall we?

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the busiest so far, the biggest move being LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for stud linebacker Kiko Alonso. Via Deadspin, emphasis mine:

Quote
Philadelphia shocked everyone by shipping LeSean McCoy to Buffalo in exchange for LB Kiko Alonso. They cleared more room by releasing LB Trent Cole and CB Cary Williams, and seem unlikely to re-sign Bradley Fletcher, their other starting corner last season, or safety Nate Allen. They're losing top receiver Jeremy Maclin to free agency; he's reportedly signing with Kansas City.

Now comes word that the Eagles are trading #1 QB Nick Foles to the St Louis Rams for perennially injured Sam Bradford and some draft picks.

To replace McCoy, the Eagles were banking on ex-49er Frank Gore, who had made a verbal commitment to the team. Unfortunately this isn't college, so it looks like Gore is headed to the Indianapolis Colts. Joining Gore with the Colts might be another Pro Bowler: ex-Texan Andre Johnson.

Phew.

Other news:

The Baltimore Ravens don't have the money to pay 5th year receiver Torrey Smith, so he'll most likely be joining the San Francisco 49ers. They've also traded Haloti Ngata to the Detroit Lions

The Pittsburgh Steelers have cut longtime veteran Brett Keisel, no word yet on Troy Polamalu.

This news is BREAKING as I type this, the New Orleans Saints have dealt star TE Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks.

So much news! More to come! Crazy offseason already! You can follow along with ESPN's Free Agency wire here.

So Chris Borland, age 22, has retired due to concerns over head trauma. The critical thing is, he doesn't already have a history of concussions, this is purely a proactive move. Borland wasn't some scrub either, although a rookie, he racked up some 100+ tackles, was defensive player of the month in November, and seemed to be one of the most important players on the 9ers going forward. So a somewhat big named player retiring early, is pretty shocking. Makes me wonder if it is the beginning of the end for the NFL

Thank god our courts have nothing better to do with their time than deal with childman the sport entertainer and his league's prima donna bullshit.

I predicted the Steelers and Packers for the Super Bowl and looked pretty stupid when they were a combined 8-11 to start the year. Well, WHO'S THE STUPID ONE NOW?!?!?!

It's still me, but those teams have been 17-0 since in unrelated news.

Anywho, I presume this means it'll be Falcons and Pats winning this weekend.
