Or then again, the hints of the particle could fade when the LHC collects more data next year.

If it does turn out they've detected it, that really IS one of the major discoveries of all time, as it underpins the whole hadron/lepton and er, sub atomic particle thingy theory of How The Universe Works.

Or then again again, there is an argument that by postulating these particles and setting up experiments to find them we are actually creating them out of nothing, and reality really is unknowable. Whoah.

Since reality being unknowable doesn't follow from expectation-generated particles, I'm going to have to assume that that argument is a bad one until you link the wacky website you found it on.
