As for Gove, does this look like the kind of man to inspire the confidence of a troubled country?

Even Boris's cast-iron self belief in his supremacy over all lesser mortals faltered at the thought of sorting out the surreal shitstorm he helped unleashed.

Before the match even started I knew, I just knew, that England would somehow be able to lose to a country with a population about the same as Bromley.

OK, this time, Scotland leaves the UK, then London declares independence from the rest of the UK and merges with Scotland, we all rejoin the EU, and leave the rest Britain to breed pitbulls or whatever it is they do when not reading the Daily Mail.

Bollocks to Boris & Farage, a seedier pair of chancers and con-merchants you could never imagine.

Ireland scores against Italy, with 5 minutes to go, 1-0, can they hold on? After Wales doing the business the other day, this is insane.

Farmer races pigs to predict EU referendum vote.

Quote
The pigs of Pennywell Farm in Devon successfully predicted the outcome of Britain's national election last year and are again fighting it out on the track in some political racing that rival the "Remain" and "Leave" sides' own campaign battles.

I propose we cancel the vote and base any readjustment of our relationship with the rest of Europe on the results of pig racing.

I just suddenly got why they are called Brexit

I've just come up with a new name: UKOFF.

I'll vote to stay in, due mainly to all the unsavoury swivel-eyed loons who have gathered under the Brexit banner purely in the hope of furthering their political careers.

Both sides of the argument have been spouting ridiculously precise figures about  - for example - how we will all be better off / worse off by 1500 pounds pa by the year 2030 if we stay in / leave the EU. This nonsense comes from politicians who don't know to the nearest 10 billion pounds what the country's finances will be like next Wednesday.

This has been an extremely unedifying contest. I don't know how some of the players will ever be able to work together again after the vote, whatever the outcome.

Priest suspended after drunken night out

Quote
The Reverend Gareth Jones swore at officers and claimed he had diplomatic immunity from the Vatican when he was arrested two weeks ago.

A paramedic found him passed out in his clerical clothes on Charing Cross Road, in Covent Garden, central London.

He had drunk three bottles of wine, several pints of beer, a number of gin and tonics and vodka.

I also watched  The Hollow Crown, the new ones, which continues to be the best Shakespeare adaptions ever made and also a must watch for people who like grown up content too.

The first bunch that came out in 2012 were just superb; this new tranche covering the War of the Roses  - starting with Cumberbatch's Richard III  as a bit of a background character in the first play - promises to be even better.

Well, 'Boaty' won the poll, but they decided to name the ship the 'Sir David Attenborough' which is cool too, as that awesome dude is 90 this year.

However, guess what they decided to name the research vessel's remote-controlled sub?
