I guess if it actually happened and a misplaced Brexit vote swayed it this time, I could get a EU passport in 15 years when you get back in. If there is still a EU then.

Or Scotland.

Plus countdown to SNP heavily implying a vote for indie is a vote to stay in the EU, even more sketchy financial figures bout how this wont mean massive austerity esp now we know the oil that covered the last lot of sketchy figures isnt even really there anymore and worst of all... more cringey attempts by May to pretend to be a human being anyone could agree with on anything.

We already meet all the EU member state requirements and the impending financial apocalypse is based on figuring us as a region of the UK. We've a comparable GDP per capita to France. It'll be fiiiiiiiiiiine.

I'm off to Thailand in a couple of years anyway but I'll be watching from the sidelines.

Theresa May to Scotland: breaking up an old and powerful political union with your largest trading partners is the worst thing you can possibly do and you'll all drown in Shit Hell for ever

Theresa May to the UK: breaking up an old and powerful political union with your largest trading partners is the best thing you can possibly do and will lead to a heavenly eternity in the bounteous land of fleshlight dildos

It was maybe number 5 on my list of ideal situations but I'll take it if it means avoiding living in Airstrip One.

Huge majority tonight for triggering Article 50. UK is finished.

It sounds a lot like the major obstacle to an efficient fascist domination of the USA is Trump himself

Day 9 and the Executive is already issuing back-of-a-napkin illegal edicts. Leaks from White House staff describing Trump's behaviour are comparable with stories from the final days of Hitler's bunker. He's barely got started and protest records have been broken twice. Pence is reportedly just waiting for him to fall apart. Sean Sphincter tweets his password twice then unironically retweets an Onion article comparing him to Goebbels. Bannon obviously running things now but for how long? They all look on the verge of serious debilitating illnesses. They're all blatantly, luminously mad.

During the prayer before lunch, the BBC News subtitle bot printed out "In the name of the Father, The Son, And the Holy Spirit - Ahmed" which coaxed a rusty hoot of laughter from my despairing lungs

I don't know about his other movie, but a friend of mine read the script for one of those films about cops and orcs or something and said it was just as bad as all his other shit.

So I look forward to more whiny baby tweets when the box office and RT scores come in.

As I understand it, Netflix bought the whole project on spec and the director immediately rewrote the script himself to suit what he had in mind, so it might actually turn out ok.

Max really doesn't seem to understand the fundamentals of telling a story. He's good at connecting and selling disparate concepts that any other writer would reject as idiotic junk (cops v orcs! Assassin stoner comedy!) not so great at structure, pacing, characters, dialogue, all that stuff. And he's making an unbelievable amount of money out of it.

Since Max last appeared on RLM, two of his scripts have sold for eight million dollars, proving two old Hollywood adages: nobody knows anything, and when you fail, you fail upwards.

The truth about Loren, finally revealed, sort of. Ben's getting old and chubby. The fighting in the comments is startling. He's displaying signs of untreated mental illness. Everything about this makes me sad.

Some of the environments are exceptionally detailed.

It's been a tradition of mine to get every continuously disappointing Tomb Raider instalment immediately upon release because like a smack freak I'm still chasing that first hit of having my socks completely blown off by a very clever game. I didn't get this one because lol 40.

It was on sale this weekend so I picked it up. Lara's head has changed shape which is disconcerting and made me reflect on the insanity of recasting video game characters. Like the previous one, it's a stealth actioner with some platforming bits, targeted at an presumed ideal player who suffers from both ADHD and OCD, divided into a series of obstacle courses where the player is expected to return to previously explored areas several times to collect thousands of bits of pointless shit, as directed by the relentless messaging and blinging and booping and information overload and mountains of garbage firing up on the screen to keep you staring at it because presumably your attention has wandered and you're looking at your phone or masturbating out the window or whatever.

They've included some actual tomb raiding in this one, but reluctantly, as the tombs are all optional and hidden out of the way. Instead of an intriguing secret looking path or something a pop-up message yelling OPTIONAL CHALLENGE TOMB will blat up on the screen to indicate there's a puzzle area nearby. These are the best parts of the game, where all the swarming enemies and NPC and radio chatter and Lara's constant inner dialogue shuts the fuck up and it's just you, alone, in a spooky ancient temple with a bunch of puzzles. Then they have to go and ruin it with Lara's omniscient Bat-Vision (basically a cheat mode) and an intrusive pop-up message that appears every five seconds ordering you to switch bat-vision on because presumably stopping to try to figure something out for a couple of minutes is considered some sort of christ-sodomizing blasphemy. Then you're herded back onto the main path with all its crass constant weapon upgrades and pointless murder.

The environments look incredible. The story is so bland it seems focus-grouped. Vulnerable Millennial Daddy Issues Lara doesn't get her face sadistically murdered off every two minutes like in the last one, if it even is her, her head is different. There's some sort of collectible card game built into it which I will never look at. Parts of it are really good. So far it feels like there's a solid game under the infuriating bullshit UI.
